Dear Reader,
It’s a melancholic day; not because anything bad has happened, but because some days are just like that (plus some of us were created like this), and that’s okay. If you are a fellow "Mel", do not get discouraged when your depth gets confused for sadness. We think deeply. We sense pain, loneliness, and struggle with more intensity than others. Do you know that most of the world’s greatest artists, musicians, and writers were melancholics? Our “sorrow” sharpens our beauty, imagination, and expression. Today, I’m sharing some of this depth (not sorrow) with you. ❤️
This Upside-Down World with Black n' White Zig Zags
By Gemma
To come amidst tears and depart amidst tears
To live everyday while fading away with every passing breath
Constantly evolving but headed to the same ending, written in stone
Different paths leading to the same destination
The eagerness to grow up and subsequent obsession with staying young
At the height of one’s glory is the depth of another’s subjugation
One man’s food is another man’s poison
This upside-down world with black n' white zig zags.
To be rich only because there are the poor
Rainy days that answer one’s prayers and ruin another man’s life
The desire to be seen while fearing being fully known
Live in the present. Be futuristic. Which is it?
Man’s search of permanence in a temporary world
The hunt for immortality by mortal creatures
This upside-down world with black n' white zig zags

Such truth and depth Gemma!. Thanks for sharing.
